Season 1, Episode 4: Feeling Rainbow

This practice is for the little girl inside of me, and I hope for anyone who feels like they need a big, warm hug.

The title is an homage to one of my favorite shows as a kid, Reading Rainbow. And the main technique is drawn from Stephen Gilligan’s Generative Trance, in which he uses light within the body to create a second skin. I thought it was such a lovely idea and pushed it further with the addition of a rainbow, the combination of cleansing water and healing sunlight.

In addition, I brought in the body scan and framing structure of yoga nidra, which is a gentle way to get into a meditative mood.

The instrumentation was my RAV, as well as two kinds of Koshi chimes, Aqua and Ignis, to invoke the water and fire elements.
